Kansas City IRS MAGA Mass Layoffs Start As Workers Escorted Out

SERIOUS federal worker firings started today as workers were shown the door by security.

Again . . . Our takeaway here is that animosity toward tax collectors is universal and dates back to ancient bible passages . . . That's probably unfair but it speaks to the reality of public perception and politics. The REAL concern here is for how deep cuts will go and the scope of firings in Kansas City where the federal government is the biggest metro employer.

"Employees working for the IRS in Lee’s Summit and Overland Park are also being laid off Thursday, according to a union spokesperson.

"The impacted workers said they were notified by email to meet with direct managers starting Thursday morning. The email told them to turn in all government-issued equipment. The employees were then escorted out of the building the union said."
