This Winter has been ROUGH and it's not yet over . . . Accordingly, here's a glimpse at kind souls doing God's work on local streets . . . Take a look:
“It’s been really busy,” said Eric Burger, Shelter KC’s executive director. “When it’s cold, it’s not safe out there. We certainly see an increase in the number of people that are seeking refuge. We normally sleep about 100, but we are probably now at about 120-125. So not only do we have every bed full, but we will have mats full as well.”
Shelter KC is a faith-based rescue mission that has been in the community for decades, one of several homeless shelters in Kansas City. They are preparing to help dozens experiencing homelessness amid bitterly cold temperatures next week.

On Friday afternoon, those experiencing homelessness could be seen lining up outside Shelter KC on Cherry St. to get into the shelter and out of the cold.
