Kansas City DOGE Buyout Regret?!?

Take this one with a grain of salt because it's off the record and seems kinda confused in general.

However . . . We're linking it because in the VERY NEAR future we think this story is going to reemerge with even more testimony . . . For now here's the word:

That worker took the buyout, which is technically a deferred resignation, but remains worried that he could still be fired without the pay and benefits promised by the buyout.

Another subsequent email explained that replying “resign” did not guarantee you would be enrolled in the program. It was just an expression of interest.

“There’s no consistency,” said Luke, “There’s no one that knows what’s going on.”

He got a four-page contract saying he’d be working through February 28.

Then came an email from the IRS Human Capital Officer with an update that some will need to work though at least May 15.
