Heidi Gardner Might Be Kansas City's Greatest Spokesperson

Right now the nation's discourse is so dominated by haters that it stands out when somebody shares a bit of love in their heart. 

Seriously, we follow KC news as closely as anyone else and it's hard not to notice our neighbors and even many residents have a great deal of antipathy for KCMO. Of course many people point out flaws and hope for improvement but we get the feeling that there are a lot of folks who wish out cowtown the very worst . . . And that was NEVER what this blog was about . . . 

And so . . . We're offering a bit of hope during this cold winter and a glimpse at a very successful and nice celeb singing the praises of the place we call home . . . Check-it:

“Kansas City is like a hug — it is like my comfort place,” the 41-year-old actress-comedian told Travel + Leisure on a call from KC last week. “I feel like myself when I'm here.”

She first heard that description from a friend who visited her a few summers ago. “She just felt a warm embrace from the second she stepped off the plane,” Gardner said. “I feel that way, but I grew up here, so it’s always felt like that to me.”
