Former Royals Honcho Dayton Moore For Kansas Governor?!?

Actually . . . This is a neat way to grab a few hits but still highly unlikely.

Why?!?!

Because . . .

KANSAS CITY BASEBALL FANS PRETTY MUCH DESPISED THIS GM AT THE END OF HIS TENURE!!!

 To be fair . . .

He has more of a chance than nearly all of the Democratic Party contenders.

But here's the thing . . .

Baseball front offices are only accustomed to softball questions from the media and sports reporters who desperately need to hang onto their jobs. Politics is way rougher than pro-sports in the Midwest.

Moreover . . . Moore was horrible at handling any criticism or questions.

So this "news" is mostly just a fun distraction like most sports talk related to Kansas City.

Dayton Moore, who built the Kansas City Royals into a contending team that went to the World Series in 2014 and 2015 after years in baseball's cellar, is traveling the state visiting with many individuals to gauge support.

"If Dayton decides to run, it certainly won’t be a political decision," said a source close . . .
