Downtown Kansas City Car Window Smasher Charged

Important follow-up and a local crackdown that didn't come in years past . . . Check-it:

Charged with two counts of first-degree property damage and two counts of second-degree property damage.

Missouri law requires each property damage incident to exceed $750 in damages to qualify as a felony offense. Damages below this threshold must be charged as misdemeanors.

Four victims provided damage estimates, allowing the prosecutor’s office to file appropriate charges based on the estimated damage.
