Congressman Cleaver Condemns & Questions DOGE Ultimatum From Elon Musk

The KCMO statesman continues pushing back against the world's richest man . . . Here's the latest:

Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, II, joined more than 100 other members of Congress to make the clarification. They said workers will not be fired if they do not respond to the email.

In a letter sent to two dozen agencies, the lawmakers said the State Department, National Security Agency and FBI are among agencies that have already made the clarification.

“The OPM email and Mr. Musk’s social media post unleashed chaos throughout the federal government leaving millions of public servants unclear how to respond and agency leaders scrambling to determine how to proceed,” the lawmakers wrote in the letter.

The lawmakers then claimed that Musk’s email may be unlawful and “highlighted his clear lack of basic understanding of the federal workforce.”
