Zero Fare Activists Protest Outside Of Jackson County Exec's Home

There's a lot of reasons this is dumb but here's the most important . . .

Insiders tell us that Jackson County has NEVER passed the kind of tax that these environmental activists demand. 

Basically . . .

Leaders at the courthouse see this as a fringe movement with no real negotiating power and mostly social media tactics . . . And what they're asking for doesn't even exist.

In fairness, here's what that activists had to say recently .  . . 

"We showed up outside County Executive @frankwhitekc home early this morning to let him know it’s no business as usual while he lets our bus system die.

"With 1 week left to take action, it’s time for the County politician to wake up to the devastating impacts of his inability to fund buses. We are on the verge of the biggest local transit system collapse since the original streetcar system was ripped out.

"January 28th is the deadline for Jackson County politicians to put bus funding on April’s ballot and avoid 1/3 of KC bus service from being further cut in addition to the cities across the county that have already ended their bus service like Independence, Raytown and more."
