Lee's Summit Dude Suffers Brutal Beat Down Amid Facebook Marketplace Deal

Here's the thing that friends and neighbors should know if they don't already . . .

MANY KANSAS CITY METRO POLICE STATIONS HAVE RESERVED PLACES IN THE PARKING LOTS FOR ONLINE TRADES!!!

Take a look and the odds are really good that a nearby police station will briefly host a legit trade in their parking lot where help isn't too far away. At least KCPD has done as much at to of their stations. The location alone is safe enough to scare off most crooks.

The incident began when the victim wanted to sell an iPad to someone over Facebook Marketplace.

According to police reports, a gray Ford Escape carrying two female passengers approached the victim's vehicle.

After initial negotiations, one of the suspects allegedly pepper-sprayed the victim and attempted to steal his phone and the advertised iPad.

The victim was dragged as he tried to retrieve his property, sustaining multiple injuries, including fractures and lacerations.
