KDOT Seyz: Highways Closed, Stay Home

The problem with text communication is that it always seems very terse and only the very skilled can use the tech tool efficiently . . . We've noticed a few more texts to TKC and we're always grateful for any info sent our way even if we're slower getting to our phone than more "accessible" social media celebs who are more adept at NEXTGEN conventions . . . Seriously . . . Depending on mood sometimes smoke signal is the best way to drop TKC a line if I'm working on something else.

But I digress . . .

The point here is KDOT recently sent word that locals should probably remain home-bound for the next couple of days . . . Check-it:

“Unless it is an emergency, please do not drive on Kansas roads. It is very dangerous for you and for our emergency services employees. Stay home. Stay safe,” KDOT’s emergency alert said.

The emergency alert was sent to cell phones across the state.
