The city’s landlord tenant code and rental ready of the city code is changing. Changes KC Tenants say are long overdue.

“It’s a historic event. Essentially it’s a win for tenants across the entirety of Independence and hopefully will lead suit for other counties and places to do it as well,” Elliot West with KC Tenants said.
