KC Man After Brother's Murder Suspect Killed: 'Glad He's Gone, Hope He Rots In Hell'

Can't say the bold statement deserves criticism given the circumstances, but certainly deserves to be highlighted even if the words come from a place of tragic grief.

Here are more deets on a recent death and then documentation of the suspect's deadly shooting that some regard as turnabout and others might just see as the result of a brutal lifestyle . . . Check-it . . .

Colton Stock was previously acquitted from a first-degree murder charge stemming from 2019. During courtroom testimony, Stock confessed to shooting Matthew Calkins, 25, but that he did it in self-defense. Prosecutors also accused Stock of dismembering Calkins’ body and burning the remains.

Calkins’ loved ones say they refuse to celebrate Stock’s demise, but Tuesday’s shooting provides them with closure of sorts, closing a dark chapter in their own lives.

“They’re glad he’s gone. They hope he rots in hell,” J.D. Calkins, Matthew’s brother, said on Thursday. “I pray for my mom. My mom’s gone through a lot.”
