Kansas City Upscale Coffee Shop Love ALMOST Explained

Actually . . . We like this note and we want to help explain why Kansas City has so many fancy places to purchase overpriced java.

Our quick take . . .

TKC doesn't have cash to buy an expensive house, car or the kind of nice health insurance that includes a spa day. HOWEVER, a nice cup of coffee brewed by an exotic looking barista with oddball tattoos is well within my price range . . . A special weekend treat might even include a carby delicacy cooked up by some white lady who dropped out of an Ivy League university. YUM! You can almost taste her parent's disappointment. 

Actually, it's not much of an indulgence BUT it funds local biz and sometimes my timing is just right and the experience is totally worthwhile and much better than watching so much human misery at a nearby gas station where the coffee is ALMOST just as good.
