Kansas City Snow Measuring Contest Starts: How Many Inches Counted?!?

This saucy competition is our favorite local traditions with bawdy jokes coming from every part of town regarding the inches received over the weekend . . . Here's where the bidding starts . .  .

"The Kansas City International Airport, Kansas City's official weather-reporting site, recorded 11 inches of snow on Sunday, marking the fourth-largest single-day snowfall in the city's history.

"It is only the eighth time since 1888 that Kansas City has received at least 10 inches of snow in a single day.

"Elsewhere in the metro, snow totals approached 12 inches."
