Kansas City Police Investigate After Gunfire Kills Woman On Stadium Drive

An update tonight might be a tragic post-holiday 86 but police are still waiting to make a determination.

Death Investigation 3500 blk of Stadium Dr.

This afternoon, at around 4:45 PM, patrol officers responded to the 3500 block of Stadium drive on a suspicious person call for service.

When officers arrived they were directed to a vehicle in the area. There they located an adult female victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.  Emergency medical personnel responded and declared the victim deceased.

This is a death investigation. Detectives and crime scene personnel are working to determine the circumstances that led up to the incident.

The case is ongoing.
