PSHAW!!!
Let's not dwell in hypothetical or potential disappointment for just about everyone in the metro.
This post is just for the weekend late-nighters . . . We're being a bit lazy this weekend but we think there's still some good stuff on the page.
However . . . We didn't want to break tradition and skip the playlist this weekend.
So here's a quickie just to keep with tradition and avoid the jinx . . .
About the track that all old-school locals know by heart despite the politically incorrect Native drum backbeat . . .
"The Chiefs Are On The Warpath / We're Number One" was released after The Kansas City Chiefs won the 1970 Superbowl.
It's a collab with Marilyn Maye and The Tony DiPardo Orchestra . . . The song has mostly been consigned to history but is worth revisiting for a bit of nostalgia.
As always, thanks for reading this week but have a safe & fun Saturday night.
