Kansas City Parking Wars Persist Throughout Downtown Area

A sign of the times . . .

RIVER MARKET & DOWNTOWN RESIDENTS ARE SO FRUSTRATED WITH KANSAS CITY PARKING RULES THAT THEY'VE STARTED TO VANDALIZE SIGNS!!!

Sadly . . .

Mayor & Council are slow to recognize local anger at new parking rules that's now trending not just on social but but also amongst neighborhood discussion groups.

Here's a glimpse at the sitch that's causing some confusion . . .

Someone is placing large green stickers on parking signs required by law, making it appear the stickers were placed by city workers.

The stickers say every vehicle towed from a property where the sticker is placed has been an “illegal tow.”

“Not correct,” said Jim Ready, manager of Kansas City’s Regulated Industries Department.

The stickers are not placed or produced by the city, Ready said.

“They're from an unknown person or body that has just taken it upon themselves to put them over the correct parking lot signs.”
