Kansas City Lady Arrested For Threats Against Children's Hospital

Kansas City healthcare providers confront a great many challenges including an increasingly violent and temperamental electorate on both sides of the aisle . . . Here's the word:

A probable cause statement filed by the Kansas City Police Department revealed that just before 2:40 a.m. on Saturday, law enforcement officials were called to Children’s Mercy Hospital with reports of threats that had been made.

A social worker with Children’s Mercy reported that on Friday, SUSPECT had brought a family member to the hospital and was displeased with the treatment. She became belligerent and made threats against staff members. After her family member was discharged, she allegedly remained aggressive.

Law enforcement officials noted that after she left the hospital, she made multiple phone calls on Friday night and early Saturday morning. Allegedly, threats to “blow up” and “shoot up” the hospital were made.

As a result, KCPD said Children’s Mercy was placed under a lockdown. SUSPECT was arrested around 11:05 a.m. on Saturday and denied making the alleged threats.
