Kansas City 2025 New Year's Resolutions ALMOST Exposed

Sorry . . .

We cover a lot of politics on this blog and the sad reality is that COWTOWN ELECTED OFFICIALS ALMOST NEVER ADMIT ANY KIND OF ERROR so there isn't really a necessity for any resolution.

For the rest of us . . . There's no denying that mistakes were made . . .

Accordingly . . .

We'll start the new year with a few goals for this blog . . .

- Even if it's only one thing . . . We'd like to make sure there's a new post for early birds. This isn't a priority since, typically, we're moving at a pace that's faster than most local news but still lagging behind some of the better social media accounts that are mostly clandestine PR outlets for KCMO . . . Like that real estate dude and his team of underpaid assistants from India.

- This is a KC blog but we have a feeling JoCo is going to get hectic in the months ahead . . . We're here for that as always.

- Thankfully, we're getting older and that means we're getting more conservative. But, for this blog, our main allegiance is to snark above all else . . . And so that means joking both sides of the discourse. We hope readers will come along for the ride that might get rough. Hint: If you can't tell . . . We respect MAGA but don't have much love for Elon Musk if only because TKC could be a genius too if our dad MAYBE owned an illegal emerald mine but CERTAINLY trafficked in the sketchy African jewel trade.

- Close readers of TKC noticed that this year www.TonysKansasCity.com started featuring a few more authors . . . Ideally, that's the direction we'd like to move and we've experimented with it previously . . . We want to do more of that when the fit is right.

- Finally . . . More than anything else . . . We're committed to keeping this blog fun or it's not really worth doing . . . We count on readers to remind us to have a good time with this Internets space and we'll do the same when the comments start getting too serious.

Speaking of . . . With a nod & respect to the long lost days of college radio . . . It's our TKC tradition to start off the year with this melancholy 80s rock classic that reminds us our much cooler older cousins and the complicated world or JoCo high school politics that seemed like a journey into a John Hughes movie  . . . Hint: It was actually much stupider and more violent than all of that . . . But the song still holds up . . .

Now . . . More than our blathering we ask our blog community . . .

FEEL FREE TO SHARE YOUR NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION OR SUGGEST GOALS FOR KANSAS CITY!!!

We trust the ideas will be interesting above all else.

Either way . . . Welcome to 2025 and we hope to return to the blog sometime in the late afternoon or early evening.

One more time . . .

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
