Here's a neighborhood note that locals likely won't find in their news feed . . . A hyperlocal perspective on recent school board moves on the South Side . . . Here's the word:

"Superintendent Obeng is destroying the Hickman Mills School District’s very foundation and he’s using the school board to do it. He assumed the position of “leadership” in 2020 professing to believe the district’s (and community’s) history to be so important it needed to be part of the curriculum; Yet, 4 years later that still hasn’t happened. Instead, he is slowly disassembling that history."
