This report from KCUR has great intentions but it's actually counterproductive and the kind of garbage content that's mostly produced to make middle-class progressives in JoCo feel better about themselves.

Very soon . . . Melesa Johnson will be judged by her actions as prosecutor.
An endorsement from an elected official who couldn't get elected as dog catcher in Missouri and is reportedly moving out of town doesn't mean much.
Nevertheless . . .
KCUR is running spin as content that doesn't help voters or the incoming administration . . .
"Melesa Johnson has met with unit leaders in both the downtown and eastern Jackson County offices in Independence. She will also keep Baker’s deputy, Dion Sankar, in the number two position in the office.
"Jean Peters Baker said she’s comfortable handing the office over to Johnson, especially given Johnson's integral role in establishing SAVE KC, a focused-deterrence program aiming to bring down the city’s high rate of gun violence, while she was Mayor Quinton Lucas's director of public safety."

Melesa Johnson, 35, will be sworn in as Jackson County's prosecutor on Friday. She says she will keep some of Baker's policies, tweak others and offer her own.
