Gunman Confronts Hard Time After Shooting Kansas City Police Officer

A Jackson County judge on Friday sentenced 42-year-old Dwayne Barnes to 25 years in prison, according to Jackson County Prosecutor Melesa Johnson.

Barnes pleaded guilty to two counts of unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of armed criminal action and two counts of second-degree assault.
