There were people helping shovel across the metro . . . However, with more snow on the way this winter, we wanted to highlight a KCMO program that will make volunteering even easier for locals who are able . . . Check-it:
"The City is pairing up volunteers with seniors or residents with disabilities in close proximity to help shovel snow from drives and walkways throughout the winter season. It’s neighbors helping neighbors, and being an angel to someone in need."

'Good to help people': Pair of sisters help Shawnee neighbors save on snow cleaning costs
Volunteers are matched with Shawnee residents who need help with snow removal. To qualify, a person must be 65 or older, have a disability, and have a household income of $61,250 or less.
