He said the medical examiners and fire department on the scene couldn’t get the deceased out of the vehicle until it was out of the river.
“We pulled it up, loaded it on a rollback, and then took it down on 103rd Street and unloaded it for them again on the ground so they could do what they needed to do,” he said. “I learned a long time ago, to kind of put it in the back of my mind and focus on what I need to do to get my job done and make the [police], fire, and medical examiner jobs easier.”
