"According to the KBI, agents recovered a Smith and Wesson M&P Shield handgun on the back deck of the residence near Golubski’s body. Five suicide letters from Golubski were also found.
"Through the investigation, KBI agents established Golubski left his house for his federal trial in Topeka around 8:30 a.m. but never arrived at the courthouse. The KBI said he made several phone calls to family and to his attorney and returned home.
"The final autopsy report concluded Golubski’s cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head and the manner of his death was suicide. The toxicology report found no significant positive findings, according to the KBI. "
