On our blog we tend to be skeptical about "regionalism" and they persistent myth of bi-state or even bi-partisan cooperation.
However . . .
A recent headline has inspired a bit of thinking and a realization that locals don't often respect state lines or much of anything else when they're ALLEGEDLY trying to swipe some booze.

"According to the officer, a store employee called for help at 9:47 a.m. on Dec. 26 after a man with previous trespass citations entered the store, stole a bottle of Fireball whiskey and fell asleep in an aisle.
"The man, later identified as A SUSPECT FROM Shawnee Mission, Kansas, had reportedly grabbed the Fireball off a shelf. Employees said they saw him hide it in his jacket and sneak drinks as he moved through the store."
