(Mayor) Lucas predicts there will finally be a decision on where the Chiefs and Royals will play. This comes after a failed vote in April 2024 that would have funded a new Royals stadium in the Crossroads Art District.
Since the April election, there has been controversy about the future homes of the Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs.
“I predict both teams stay in Kansas City,” Lucas said. “2025 is the year we figure it out. And I think, fortunately, after 2025, we never have to talk about it again.
