Late Capitalism: Kansas City Lady Gets Healthcare For Christmas

The American healthcare system is completely broken and sooner or later its headed for collapse and very real upheaval.

Blame former Prez Obama if that makes you feel better.

Here's a local story that SHOULD remind us that universal healthcare is the reality for every other Western nation and maybe a few billion redirected from funding Neo-colonialism war or keeping the space aliens secret might help pay for it . . .

"She said Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City denied coverage for the medication, which costs about $10,000. She found out her insurance plan, Affordablue, is one that doesn't cover brand name drugs.

"The misunderstanding, she said, caused unnecessary delays . . . Hope came from her friends, who started a fundraiser.

"In a few days, enough money was raised to cover two months of medication. She was able to take the medication for the first time Thursday."
