Overcrowded KCI Reveals Sketchy Planning For Pedestrians

Allow us a gripe that everyone downplays because our blog community noted it FIRST.

PEDESTRIAN ACCESS AT NEW KCI SUCKS & FRUSTRATES TRAVELERS AND TRANSIT WORKERS!!!

The parking scheme is abysmal during peak hours and here's the punchline . . .

With all the concern about pedestrians amongst progressives, Mayor & council FAILED to secure something as simple as a walkway from the parking lot to the terminal. Instead, the facility requires a crew of traffic guards and a great deal of car chaos.

That's just a FACT CHECK that local news outlets are afraid to mention.

In the meantime . . . They just share these PR stats . .  .

"KCI’s busiest travel day is expected to be the day after Christmas, with 36,475 passengers. Over 33,000 travelers will fly in and out of the airport on Dec. 22, 23, 26, 27, 29 and 31.

"This follows a traveling trend across the country. According to AAA, 119.3 million people will travel 50 miles or more from Saturday, December 21 to Wednesday, January 1. Over 7.5 million of those travelers will be through the air."
