The largest private employer in Kansas City doesn't have much of a future in our cowtown despite denials from clueless politicos and civic leaders. Accordingly, ongoing layoffs and a power move out of KC speaks louder than continued assurances.
Here's the money line regarding the fate of local jobs that we liberated from behind a paywall . . .
"Cerner Corp.'s acquisition is years old, but Oracle Corp.'s CEO made clear what people in Kansas City had begun to suspect. He said in April that Nashville would be the company's world headquarters, extinguishing hope that the metro area would be a major base for the company."
