Newsflash: Sketchy Kansas City South Loop Short On Cash

Just as KICK-ASS TKC INSIDERS, commenters and online denizens predicted . . .

Amid MAGA victory and upcoming federal austerity for fantasy transit projects . . .

KANSAS CITY SOUTH LOOP SEEMS SHORT ON CASH & DESPERATELY SEEKING TAXPAYER SUPPORT!!!

Maybe a more important question . . .

WHY SHOULD TAXPAYERS FINANCE THIS NOISE CONTROL PROJECT FOR LUXURY HOTELS, APARTMENTS & CONDOS?!?!

There's already amble "green space" downtown and nobody uses it because it's mostly occupied by homeless on most nice days.

Also . . . Just for giggles . . .

Are we allowed to ask if corporate donations for this project are SECURED?!? If not, TKC will gladly announce a donation of a few million that'll probably escape collection just like so many other "commitments" that are mostly just press release fantasy.

Meanwhile . . .

We're obliged to share more optimistic news of this upcoming request of the local electorate . . .

"The South Loop Project is a sustainable urban park over four blocks of I-670 meant to link Kansas City’s Central Business District and the Crossroads Arts District with accessible play spaces, a dog park, public art, and more.

"But before the transformation can begin, J.E. Dunn, the lead construction team on the project, says it plans to ask Jackson County to chip in another $15 Million."
