KC Parks Crisis Endangers Washington Square Park Stadium?!?

Fair warning . . . A lot of this is or might/be (bad) cowtown political theater . . .

However, just for kicks and keeping in mind that Mayor Q's administration always operates like they're SMARTER THAN EVERYONE . . . Accordingly . . .

KANSAS CITY PARKS HONCHO RESIGNATION IN DOUBT & NOW RISKS FUTURE OF ROYALS DOWNTOWN!!!

Context . . . The honcho was, reportedly, against the downtown idea and then was ultimately booted. 

Also . . . There's legit debate on whether or not the Mayor has power to boot Parks Board appointees but even then that's not REALLY the crux of this story . . .

And again . . . 

There's a very good chance that all of this is just another distraction and another example of dysfunction that is being STAGED to justify the imminent departure of both the Royals & Chiefs . . . Check-it:

Asked about Gorenc’s situation after looking at part of the city’s charter. Part of Article X says, “A member may be removed by the council upon recommendation of the Mayor.”

“We’re covering a lot, but Mr. Gorenc resigned,” Mayor Lucas said when asked why there wasn’t a city council vote when he removed Mr. Gorenc.

“He resigned from the Parks Board. He has expressed that to a number of folks at City Hall, and that’s my understanding of why he’s no longer on the Parks Board.”

Gorenc, on the other hand, claims that’s not the case.
