Senator Jerry Moran and Congressman Tracey Mann plan to introduce a bill doing just that when they go back to Washington, D.C. next month.
"See if we can't find the way to manage and operate a university that takes care of its students and provides them...meets their educational needs," Moran said.
"When it comes to Haskell, the US Department of Interior and the Bureau of Indian Education has dropped the ball. Years of mismanagement, lack of oversight and cycles of misconduct have all compounded and led us here today," Mann said.
