BEST & BRIGHTEST TKC READERS shared a longstanding rallying cry of amateur urban planners who are still upset about highway decisions that were made back in the Eisenhower Administration. 

Actually . . .

This kind of effort was championed by Transportation Secretary Mayo Pete and it's unlikely that it'll produce anything besides social media chatter . . . Like this recent message from the KCMO account:

"Reconnecting the Westside is in motion! We're conducting a planning study to improve mobility and connectivity around I-35. Guided by the neighborhood, this plan will call attention to the inequalities and barriers created by the highway's construction."
