Kansas City Remembers Joe Serviss

A heartfelt memorial for a former cowtown power player is making the rounds via Kansas City social media circles.

Here's a quote from developer Butch Rigby on the passing of KCMO insider Joe Serviss:

"We lost a Kansas City icon, Joe Serviss. For those of you who did not know Joe, you have certainly been benefited by his many years of public service to our town. He was on the city council of Kansas City Missouri during the 1970s (Mayor Pro-tem) when projects such as the sports complex and the airport were made realities. He was Chief of Staff to Mayor Kay Barnes when her administration changed the very fabric of downtown Kansas City in the early 2000s."
