Kansas City Elderly Lady Suspect Captured Stealing Cheesecake & Carrying Meth

A soul crushing Kansas City story of human suffering offers an ample opportunity to gauge the personality of TKC readers . . .

More than anything else the tragic tale of an addict pilfering food at a local hospital reminds us that Universal Health Coverage is probably the only way to protect citizens from becoming the wage slaves of merciless corporations.

Given what we've seen of the local discourse . . . Only shills or reactionaries argue against UHC as some kind of socialist evil whilst overlooking so much CORPORATE WELFARE, banks that are TOO BIG TO FAIL and all of that groovy "socialist" taxpayer subsidized jet fuel.

But these consideration are merely our gadfly antics . . . The point here is to question readers . . .

SHOULD KANSAS CITY REBUKE THIS POOR LADY OR ADMIT HER SAD SITUATION REFLECTS A BROKEN SYSTEM?!?!

Even better, moralistic ideas about drug abuse might "flavor" local conversations.

Either way . . . Here's a quick look at the sitch and more info . . .

Arrested on Dec. 27 after a Saint Luke’s Hospital employee reported seeing who he believed to be an elderly woman stealing from the cafeteria.

Responding deputies said they detained her in the cafeteria and she gave them a fake name. When they told her she could not leave because they suspected she had stolen, she said she was going to throw some trash away and instead “began sprinting out the emergency department doors.”
