“In the last 4.5 years, as of late August,” Tye Grant, president & CEO of the Police Foundation of Kansas City explains, “there have been 796 homicides in Kansas City. Of these, 767 occurred in Jackson County, representing over 96%. In other words, 29 of the 796 homicides took place in the northern portions of Kansas City.”
