Kansas City Insurance Arguments After CEO Gunned Down

There's tenuous local context for an NYC shooting story that has enraptured the nation.

This tragic fact is getting a lot of traction in cowtown social media circles:

"In a move drawing stark feedback from medical professionals, Anthem Insurance has decided to cap anesthesia coverage at a time limit . . . The policy will go into effect for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield plans representing Connecticut, New York and Missouri, according to ASA."

UPDATE . . . In light of recent events, looks like the company thought better of that decision.

Now, before we get started let's make it PERFECTLY CLEAR.

Nobody but morons are advocating for clipping insurance industry execs.

We notice that the lack of sympathy for the exec is palpable on any social media app.

Former radio & sports dude Hartzell was doing a bit of insurance industry grousing and offered this bit of fuel to the fire that didn't show a lot of sympathy for a story that's dominating Americna headlines.

And that brings up an ongoing investigation that quite a few people are using to either spit on the dead guy's grave or using to blame former Prez Obama . . .

Thompson, who ran one of the the US’s largest health insurers, was fatally shot on Wednesday in midtown Manhattan by an unidentified man. Shell casings found at the scene reportedly had the words “deny”, “defend” and “depose” written on them.

Social Media Has Little Sympathy for Murdered Health Insurance Exec

Americans on social media showed virtually no sympathy for the apparently targeted killing of UnitedHealthcare's CEO by mystery gunman in New York.

The lack of sympathy may underscore how Americans tend to like their own insurer but distrust the industry as a whole.
