Kansas City Empty Office Space Costs Quarter BILLION Annually

There is hope that MAGA will require federal employees to return to the office . . . That might help the local situation downtown where parking lots remain empty and the restaurant scene has suffered mightily.

Still . . .

Pandora's box (laptop?!?) has been opened and elite workers who are in demand now require WORK FROM HOME in their contracts . . . Despite demands from employers and a great deal corporate grousing . . . Tele-work is now reality and local urban centers will have to adapt.

Here's a glimpse of how much the change is costing our cowtown that we've "liberated" from behind a local paywall . . .

"In Kansas City, more than 11.6 million square feet of office space was vacant as of mid-year, with an expected lost rent value of more than $262 million."
