Sadly . . . This isn't satire but a real public health concern and something that parents might wan to tell their youngsters . . . Check-it:
"So many geese are falling ill in Kansas and Missouri that one local agency that helps wounded birds has stopped accepting them. Operation Wildlife in Linwood, Kansas says it received 42 calls in just the past three days. Several agencies tell FOX4 that avian Flu, also known as bird flu, is to blame.
"The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks says if there is contact with wildlife don’t rub your eyes, eat, drink, or smoke before washing hands with soap and water . . .
"Before you take any of those precautions to transport a dead or dying bird you may want to check if any agency can retrieve it for you, including the Missouri Department of Conservation and your local animal control."
