After three years of debate over how to spend $70.4 million in federal COVID relief money, the Jackson County Legislature introduced new bills and substitutions Monday to allocate the funds.

"Oh, I'm frustrated that there's so much arguing. I think we're all frustrated, and it's very frustrating to have gone this long," said Jeanie Lauer, chair of the Jackson County Legislature.

County Executive Frank White was not at the meeting. Staff said he is dealing with a family emergency.
