Is Kansas City Powerless To Stop Deadly Street Racing & Sideshows?!?

Right now we double back to a tragic story that garnered a great deal of interest yesterday.

The question from AWESOME TKC READERS and insiders who we trust:

HOW CAN KANSAS CITY PREVENT DEATHS OF INNOCENT PEOPLE AS SIDESHOWS & STREET RACING CONTINUES TO DOMINATE LOCAL ROADS?!?

City hall has increased fines but the trend continues. Even worse, the idea that streetscaping will prevent tragedy is farcical at best and REALLY just a way to route more taxpayer cash to local special interests who peddle this type of "green" construction scam. Put simply, speed bumps are great but they aren't really any match for lawlessness on local streets.

To be fair . . . Street racing & sideshows are a nationwide problem and online we've seen evidence of this treacherous trend in the suburbs and rural areas as well.

However . . .

This time around two innocent people were killed because street racing in KCMO seems out of control.

Accordingly . . .

We share our question for readers and more info on this latest incident . . . Check-it:

"When asked if charges have been filed against the drivers of the two vehicles that were racing, a KCPD spokesperson said detectives are “working closely with prosecutors” to determine any applicable charges.

"The victims’ deaths are KCPD’s 96th and 97th crash fatalities of 2024."
