As of late, the local political elite seem to have given more credence to recall efforts attempting to oust Jackson County Executive Frank White.
One after the next tell us: "The recall is real."
This assertion is correct but voters deserve to understand how the process works.
Hint: It's MONEY that drives the process and this whole thing didn't get serious until a REAL group of power players stepped in . . . Sorry, but our grassroots friends could've garnered signitures for another year and STILL not met with any success.
Accordingly . . .
JACKSON COUNTY INSIDERS EXPLAIN: EXEC FRANK WHITE'S LACK OF CASH MAKES HIM VULNERABLE TO RECALL!!!
As always we have documentation and testimony to back it up . . .
Check our work . . . The Missouri Ethics Commish clearly shows Frank holding a paltry sum as of October.
In reality . . . He has even less money on hand . . . Maybe as little as two grand.
Meanwhile . . .
The "Heavies" are on record backing the recall and they have more money than God to advance their agenda and take revenge for the Exec scuttling their stadium plans.
But there's more to this story than mere campaign finance reporting . . .
Here's the extra detail that insiders shared with www.TonysKansasCity.com in order to provide more context for the uphill battle confronting the Executive . . .
Jackson County officials are working behind the scenes to ensure that the County Counselor will not defend the Exec from any recall. They argue that the County Counselor's office is a resource that belongs to the taxpayers and is not mandated to provide a defense to the Executive. Basically, they want to make the Exec pay for his defense from campaign funds for find the money from a rich friend.
Of course money (or the lack of it) puts the Exec at a disadvantage but we've seem him come up with EPIC loans and timely rescues before . . . This time around, any one who defends him will seemingly come up against the most well-funded opposition ever witnessed by Jackson County.
Developing . . .
