Our political elite . . . Both Republicans & Democratic Party leaders couldn't find compromise amid the holiday season and that discord will impact local economic numbers during this already drab holiday season.
Consider this because we always have to remind people of it . . .
The federal government is Kansas City's largest employer.
And so . . .
A shut down doesn't just stop with government workers . . . Businesses they frequent, shops where they WOULD HAVE bought merch and so much other local spending will be curtailed if the guv workers suffer crackdown.
And so . . .
Whilst low-info voters love cutting throats across the aisle . . . Our post reminds Kansas City denizens that our town will suffer holiday season FAIL amid this first round of MAGA austerity.
In fairness . . . Nobody likes guv workers and revenge to satisfy political alliances might seem more important going forward. Even for those who have reasonable suspicion about economic theories, trimming the guv workforce is often celebrated by plebs on both the right & left.
