Remember . . .
The the outset of 2024 our progressive friends and so many journalists told us that Dems would turn Kansas "purple" this year and break the GOP super majority stronghold.
Instead . . .
Local voters endorsed the status quo and JoCo housewives didn't make any more progress.
Even more interestingly . . .
Across the nation progressive pundits fear the Dems are out of touch with voters . . .
The response in Kansas, seemingly, is to double down with a "groundbreaking" selection for leadership who is probably very qualified BUT brings the same kind of identity politics "vibe" that Republicans have effectively utilized against the Democratic Party.
Here's more on the final tally for 2024 in Kansas . . .
"Kansas Secretary of State (SOS) Scott Schwab released the final results of the 2024 General Election for the Sunflower State on Dec. 3, which includes the final tallies for the tight Senate District 5 and House District 49 races. Results included the final counts for the Kansas Congressional and Legislative races along with the state Board of Education and judge positions.
"Republicans claimed the majority of political wins in the Kansas Legislature, claiming victory in 26 Senate races and 56 House races. Democrats won six positions in the state Senate and 19 in the House. The Republican Party will retain its supermajority control in both the Senate and the House with their two-thirds majority."
