Critics Condemn Kansas City Officials At White House Christmas Party

We offered a benign preview of this news yesterday and now it's becoming "a thing" on local social media amongst KC political watchers.

Again  . . . www.TonysKansasCity.com noted this last night . . . It's not really our bag to be a party pooper during the holidays and there's a legit argument that KC politicos in DC have the opportunity to make inroads and garner access that will benefit our town.

However . . .

It's also fair to note that not everybody feels that way . . . 

Accordingly . . .

This criticism from activist Justice Horn deserves attention because it comes from a local rising star who is also aligned with progressives and Democratic Party leadership . . . And . . . We've seen this reaction echoed in comments throughout the weekend . . . 

"I am tired of our local politicians caring so much about what’s going on in DC and jumping on a planes to DC for selfies like a bunch of groupies—This does nothing to better the community and bring back resources to our community? There’s work to do and that should be the focus."

In the meantime . . . In this thread we linked, he's got a point about the ARPA money . . . As we noted earlier, the deadline is really this week and if they don't get something done very soon . . . 70 million bucks goes back to DC.
