Convictions Overturned After Double Murder In The Dotte

This story continues to dominate local headlines this evening . . . Here's the word:

The charges stemmed from a double homicide that took place on Feb. 13, 2009, when two men, Larry LeDoux and Charles Ford, were found shot to death . . . The two men were convicted on the account of one witness with “severe mental illness.” Further, the prosecution did not disclose the witness’s mental state to Warren’s defense attorney.

Two Kansas City, Kansas, men will be freed after judge tosses murder convictions

Wyandotte County District Attorney Mark Dupree announced Wednesday that he will not seek retrials for Cedric Warren and Dominic Moore because they didn't receive a fair trial for a 2009 double homicide. Dupree said a former prosecutor was to blame for the wrongful conviction.
