Convicted Former KCPD Detective Home By Christmas?!?

This week we're watching an historic Kansas City advocacy emerge out of view of mainstream media.

This quote helps roundup where we are right now . . .

"DeValkenaere is serving a six-year prison sentence for killing Cameron Lamb. Prosecutors and Lamb’s family have alleged a handgun was planted after the shooting. DeValkneaere maintains that Lamb pointed a weapon at his partner that day, following a police chase."

From there . . .

Law enforcement supporters, friends & family have passionately argued for DeValkenaere's release and even outgoing Missouri Guv Parson has decried the "political" component of this case.

On the other side . . .

Activists and several community leaders defend the verdict and argue that a pardon would undermine respect for the law.

Off-the-record . . .

Fear of rioting and reprisal has been constant during the discussion even if politicos don't like addressing the issue.

Also . . .

Incoming Guv Kehoe has promised to release the former KCPD detective as well.

This week . . .

Conservative Kansas City talker Pete Mundo offers an important update that shouldn't be overlooked:

"I'm hearing that former KCPD Eric DeValkenaere is likely to be home by Christmas."
