Clay County Out For Blood Against Drunk Drivers

First off . . . It's dumb to drive drunk. With so many tech ride-share options available, there's really no excuse to risk it.

Ordinarily . . . We don't agree with public officials mentioning ideas about commandeering blood in any context. BUT, if this kind of bold statement scares a few drunks off the road . . . It's probably a good thing.

Check-it:

"Clay County prosecutor Zach Thompson has labeled Clay County as a "no-refusal" county for DWIs, meaning his staff in his office will ask for more search warrants for blood draws when drivers are suspected of intoxication.

"If someone refuses a breathalyzer test to show levels of blood alcohol, prosecutors can step in and make a case to a judge for a blood draw."
