Soup Lines Serve Kansas City 2024

There's a great deal of mythology regarding capitalism or so-called American exceptionalism that would like to imagine breadlines and soup kitchens as a forgotten remnants of the depression-era. 

The cover story is that is that U.S. global military might has ushered in an age of prosperity. For many lucky people this assertion is correct. But let's also consider that we're all just a few cluster of cancer cells, insurance company denials and/or clogged arteries away and from either oblivion or our eternal reward . . . Depending, of course, on which garbage podcast an online denizen might subscribe.

Either way . . . It's a fact . . .

KANSAS CITY SOUP LINES CONTINUE FEEDING LOCALS DOWN ON THEIR LUCK AND DEMAND IS GROWING AT THE END OF THE BIDEN YEARS!!!

We're uncertain if tariffs or the world's richest social media troll is going to solve this problem. But there's no use denying that trending American poverty exists and no matter your worldview . . . Moreover, it's impossible that ALL of these folks deserve scorn for their hard luck . . . No matter what scumbag middle-class manners have taught us about supply and demand whilst omitting torrid deets regarding crony capitalism and sketchy banks that are too big to FAIL.

And so we share this quote on the sitch and a worthwhile Sunday report . . .

As a local organization reaches it's two-year anniversary of service in Kansas City, the need -- and line -- for their resources continues to grow.
